TBS Tango 2 Buying Guide

Th TBS Tango 2 is best suited to FPV pilots who value compact size, comfortable ergonomics, and built-in Crossfire over maximum protocol flexibility and controls. Before choosing it, consider how you fly and what receivers you already use. Choose the Tango 2 if you: 

- Fly Crossfire and want a compact radio: The built-in TBS Crossfire system is the main reason to choose the Tango 2. You don't need a separate transmitter module, and the radio keeps the Crossfire controls integrated into its interface. This makes it especially convenient if your FPV fleet is already built around Crossfire receivers.

- Travel with your FPV gear: The gamepad-style body is considerably easier to carry than a full-size transmitter. The low-profile switches are designed to reduce the chance of damage when the radio is packed in a backpack, while the built-in battery removes the need to carry separate transmitter batteries.

-Prefer thumbs or pinch flying with a compact radio: Despite its small body, the Tango 2 uses full-size Hall-effect gimbals. Reviews found the ergonomics comfortable for extended simulator and FPV sessions, including pinch-style flying. The stick tension and stick length can also be adjusted to suit your preference.

- Want a simple setup for FPV quads: The Tango 2 is designed around the controls most quad pilots actually need: two 2-position switches, two 3-position switches, and two momentary buttons. For arming, flight modes, beeper and similar functions, this is generally enough without adding the extra sliders, pots and switches found on larger radios.
