MEPSKING Expert Assessment

Our assessment focuses on build practicality: the BLITZ F7 E55S combines an F722 flight controller, six UARTs and 32MB Blackbox storage with a 55A 4-in-1 ESC. We consider it a sensible option for a compatible 5-inch freestyle or racing build, particularly when replacing both boards together.

Blackbox logging is useful for investigating vibration and tuning issues, but the stack alone does not guarantee smoother flight. This is a specification-based assessment, not a MEPSKING flight-test report.

BLITZ E55S vs E55: Which Should You Choose?

The E55S uses an 8-bit BB21 controller with BLHeli_S or compatible Bluejay firmware. The E55 uses a different G071-based 32-bit platform. Both list a 55A continuous rating, so the E55 is not automatically a higher-current upgrade. Choose E55S if you want the BLHeli_S/Bluejay ecosystem; choose E55 if you specifically need its firmware platform. Their firmware files are not interchangeable.

What Fits a 6S Build?

Check for 30.5 × 30.5mm mounting and sufficient board clearance. For a 6S setup, consider MEPS SZ2207 V2 1950KV motors with MEPS SZ4942 propellers. Check motor–propeller current data and cooling before aggressive flying. The 55A rating applies to each motor channel, not unrestricted power for any build.

Before Your First Power-Up

Verify polarity, wiring pinouts and the exact board revision before connecting power or changing firmware. Remove the propellers and use a TBS Smoke Stopper for initial electrical checks—not motor-load testing. Buy this stack when you need both the FC and ESC; replacing only a failed board may be more economical.
