Our buying verdict: the BLITZ Mini F745 makes sense for a compact quad that needs flexible peripheral connections and useful tuning logs. Six UARTs and 16MB Blackbox storage are practical reasons to choose it; the processor name alone is not a promise of smoother flight. 

BLITZ Mini F745 vs Mini F722

Compared with the F722-based BLITZ Mini F7 V1.2, the F745 doubles Blackbox storage from 8MB to 16MB while retaining six UARTs and 20×20mm mounting. Choose the F745 for extra logging space or its documented ArduPilot support. A working Mini F722 remains a sensible choice if it already meets your Betaflight needs.

Real Owner Experience: Check the Firmware Target

An owner replacing an F722 board reported connection trouble, then restored operation after entering DFU mode and flashing IFLIGHT_BLITZ_F7_AIO. That target is also listed by iFlight. Our takeaway: confirm the board-specific firmware before setup. Despite “AIO” in the target name, this product is a flight controller only, without an integrated ESC.

Choose the Right ESC and Check Fit

The iFlight BLITZ Mini E55 55A ESC is a matching mini-stack option. Check more than hole spacing: the FC measures 30.5×27mm, while the ESC measures 35×42mm. Confirm stack clearance, connector pin order and peripheral voltage requirements before wiring. Remove propellers and use a smoke stopper for the first battery-powered check.
