F90 1300KV Review
The F90 2806.5 is most convincing when it is used for its intended purpose: efficiently controlling larger propellers on a 6-inch or 7-inch FPV drone. Its 28 × 6.5mm stator provides more torque than a typical 2207 or 2306 motor, while the 1300KV version remains relatively light for this motor class.
Independent motor testing also supports this positioning. Oscar Liang describes the F90 1300KV as one of the more efficient options for 7-inch drones, with balanced performance but less immediate response than a freestyle-focused motor. This makes it a better match for long-range cruising, smooth cinematic lines and pilots who value flight time over aggressive snap.
Real 7-Inch Flight Experience
In an independent hands-on test, the reviewer bench-tested the F90 1300KV with 6-inch and 7-inch propellers on 4S, 5S and 6S batteries before installing it on a GEPRC Mark II 7-inch frame.
The completed quad weighed approximately 475g. With a 364g 4S 3300mAh battery and a GoPro Session 5, its all-up weight was just over 912g. The reviewer achieved approximately eight minutes of flight time and believed that an approximately 2500mAh 6S battery would provide a better balance of performance and endurance.
This was not a controlled range record. Video OSD flickering and radio problems prevented the reviewer from flying far enough to make a reliable long-range link assessment. The useful conclusion is narrower: the motor delivered smooth, efficient performance on a real 7-inch build, but flight time and range still depend on propeller choice, battery, aircraft weight, tune and flying speed.
Does the F90 2806.5 Fit a 5-Inch Drone?
The F90 can work on some heavy 5-inch builds, especially in the 1950KV version, but it is usually more motor than a conventional 5-inch quad needs. The larger stator adds torque, but also increases motor and rotational weight. A normal 2207 motor or 2306 build will generally feel lighter and more agile.
FPV community experience reflects the same trade-off: a 5-inch installation is possible, but the F90 makes better use of its torque on 6-inch or 7-inch propellers. Choose it for a 5-inch build only when you already understand the additional weight, current demand and propeller-loading requirements.

Frame and Application Compatibility
The most important mechanical detail is the 19 × 19mm M3 mounting pattern. Not every 7-inch frame supports it. In the independent test, the reviewer changed from an HGLRC Sector V2 frame, which only supported 16 × 16mm motors, to a GEPRC Mark II frame that supported both mounting patterns.
