Jumper T15 Buying Guide: Is It Right for You?
The Jumper T15 is built for pilots who want more precise control, a modern touchscreen interface, and powerful built-in ExpressLRS performance. Before you buy, use this quick guide to make sure the T15 fits your flying style and setup.
1. Choose T15 If You Want More Control
-For Freestyle Pilots
Want precise stick control for flips, rolls, and throttle management? The T15's full-size Hall sensor gimbals provide smooth, consistent stick movement and accurate centering for more demanding flying.
-For Long-Range Pilots
Need more RF power for demanding flights? The built-in 2.4GHz ExpressLRS system supports up to 1000mW output, giving you additional link margin when paired with a compatible receiver and properly configured antenna system.
-For Racing Pilots
The T15 combines low-latency 2.4GHz ELRS with precise Hall gimbals and multiple programmable controls, making it suitable for pilots who prioritize fast and accurate stick response.
-For Cinematic & Everyday Flying
The 3.5-inch touchscreen makes settings, telemetry, and EdgeTX navigation easier to access, while the full-size radio layout gives you plenty of physical controls for different flight functions.
-For Simulator Practice
Connect the T15 to your computer via USB and use the same full-size gimbals you'll use when flying your FPV drone. This makes it easier to build consistent stick habits between simulator sessions and real flights.
2. Check Your Receiver Before Buying
The T15 ELRS version comes with a built-in 2.4GHz ExpressLRS transmitter, so you don't need a separate ELRS module for a standard 2.4GHz ELRS setup.
Before ordering, check the receiver installed on your drone.

Simply bind the receiver to the T15 and configure your model in EdgeTX.
Your drone uses another protocol?
The T15 includes a standard JR module bay, giving you the option to install a compatible external RF module when you need another protocol.

3. Choose the Right Battery
The T15 is designed to use two 21700 Li-ion batteries and operates within a 6–8.4V working voltage range. Batteries are not included with the radio.
For the simplest setup, choose:
Molicel M50A 21700 5000mAh 3.7V Li-Ion Battery
Two 21700 cells provide the intended battery configuration for the T15 and offer plenty of capacity for extended radio use.
Important: Do not confuse a pair of individual 21700 cells with a high-voltage FPV Li-ion battery pack. A 6S 22.2V battery pack is not suitable for powering the T15.
4. Do You Need 1W ELRS?
The T15 can deliver up to 1000mW / 1W of ELRS transmission power, but maximum power isn't necessary for every flight.
For short-range or indoor flying, lower power is usually sufficient.
For freestyle and general outdoor flying, choose a power level appropriate for your environment and receiver setup.
For long-range flying, higher output power can provide additional link margin, but actual range also depends on antenna placement, receiver sensitivity, packet rate, obstacles, interference, and local RF conditions.
More power does not automatically mean unlimited range.
