The Paulo de Frontin Bridge, located in Miguel Pereira, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, is one of the main historical and architectural attractions of the region. It was designed by engineer Paulo de Frontin and inaugurated in 1898 as part of Brazil’s old Central Railway. This bridge is a landmark of Brazilian engineering and was built to allow for rail connections between the Serranian region and the rest of the state.
