Buyer's Guide: VIFLY Finder 2 Self-Powered FPV Drone Buzzer

Ever crashed your FPV drone or RC fixed-wing airplane into thick brush, high grass, or a remote field only to have the main LiPo battery pop off? Standard 5V buzzers instantly go silent when disconnected from power. The VIFLY Finder 2 solves this forever: it combines a high-decibel piezo buzzer, a self-charging internal LiPo battery, smart light-sensing LEDs, and universal PWM/FC compatibility to ensure you never lose a quad or plane again.

Here is your ultimate buyer’s guide covering real-world field-test performance, key features, and hardware setup instructions.

Real-World Field Test & Key Performance

● Highlights Ultra-Loud 110dB+ Alarm & 30+ Hours Runtime. Includes an integrated internal LiPo battery that charges automatically whenever your quad or plane is plugged in.

● Main Battery Ejection Recovery: If a crash ejects your main battery, the Finder 2 detects the power cutoff and automatically triggers its loud, high-pitched alarm for over 30 hours.

● 30-Second Grace Period: During the first 30 seconds after battery power is lost, it emits a low-volume beep, allowing you to re-plug or disarm the buzzer without deafening your ears at the bench. After 30 seconds, it ramps up to full 110dB+ peak volume.

Smart Light Sensor & Night Visuals

● Automatic Light Detection: Features a built-in optical light sensor. In dark conditions or thick bush cover, it flashes its ultra-bright white LED to guide you visually at dusk or night.

● Daylight Power Saving: Automatically turns off the LED during bright sunlight to conserve internal battery power for maximum buzzer runtime.

Universal Dual-Compatibility (FPV Quads & RC Fixed-Wing Airplanes)

● Flight Controller Mode (Standard FC Setup): Connects via standard 5V, GND, and Buzzer- pads on any Betaflight, INAV, or Kiss flight controller. Functions as a traditional transmitter-triggered switch during normal flight.

● PWM Servo Mode (Fixed-Wing Planes): Connects directly to a receiver servo channel (via 3-pin PWM connector) without needing a flight controller. Pilots can trigger the alarm straight from a 3-position switch on their transmitter.

How to Disarm & Operate the VIFLY Finder 2

When you retrieve your crashed drone, turning off the alarm is simple:

Button Disarm: Press and hold the physical disarm/reset button on the side of the Finder 2 for 1–5 seconds.

LiPo Power Disarm: Re-plug your main quad LiPo battery for 1 to 4 seconds, then unplug it again. The Finder 2 will recognize the disarm cycle and remain silent.

Setup Tip: When installing the Finder 2, mount it where the side disarm button and the optical light sensor remain exposed to air/light. Avoid burying the light sensor beneath thick carbon plates so the night-flash LED functions correctly!

Is the VIFLY Finder 2 Worth It?

For around $13.99, the VIFLY Finder 2 is cheap insurance for any FPV quad or fixed-wing aircraft. One saved drone pays for this buzzer dozens of times over."

Buy VIFLY Finder 2 if: You fly high-speed freestyle, bando spots, long-range mountains, or fixed-wing RC planes where crashes risk ejecting the battery. It offers the loudest, most reliable lost-drone alarm on the market.
