T-HOBBY AM480 Review: A Lightweight Motor Built for 48–52" 3D Airplanes

For most 48–52" 3D builds, the 650KV version is the most versatile starting point when using a 5–6S battery. The 900KV version makes more sense for lighter aircraft and lower-voltage 3–4S setups.
Propeller Compatibility

What the Test Data Means
The 650KV version is clearly the more power-focused option in the published tests, producing 4.2 kg of static thrust at 1,133W with a T13×6.5 propeller. This gives a 48–52" 3D aircraft plenty of vertical power for aggressive aerobatic maneuvers.
The 900KV version uses a lower-voltage setup and produces less absolute thrust, but its published full-throttle efficiency is higher at 4.27 g/W. That makes it more suitable for lighter builds where a lower overall power requirement is preferred.
