1. Should You Choose 1S or 2S?

The first decision is your battery voltage.

-Choose 1S if you want the lightest possible build, especially for indoor flying and lightweight whoops.

-Choose 2S if you want more power for outdoor flying, higher-speed flight, or a slightly heavier Digital HD setup.

The board supports 2.9–8.7V input, so it is designed specifically for 1S and 2S LiPo/LiHV batteries.

For a 1S build, particularly with high-KV 0702/0802 motors, pay attention to startup settings. Happymodel specifically notes that high-KV 0702/0802 motors on 1S may require increased ESC startup power. If your motors can regularly exceed the ESC's current capability, choose an AIO or ESC with a higher current rating instead.
