Its 5.5-inch HD IPS touchscreen (1280×720) offers sharp visuals and up to 1000 nits brightness, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight, while the responsive touch interface allows for quick navigation and efficient adjustments during field operation.

At its core, the AX12 remains a fully capable RadioMaster transmitter, supporting 16-channel ExpressLRS control with advanced mixing, flexible channel mapping, customizable curves including 12-point curves, adjustable dual rates, and channel locking. It also offers preset and user-defined model templates, full model import and export, custom model images, configurable voice prompts, and support for Lua scripts, providing extensive flexibility for advanced FPV setups and personalized control configurations.

The built-in ExpressLRS LR1121 module supports both 2.4GHz and Sub-G 900MHz operation, delivering low latency and strong, reliable link performance, while also enabling convenient Wi-Fi OTA firmware updates for the internal RF system. With MAVLink passthrough support, the AX12 allows compatible applications such as QGroundControl and Betaflight Configurator to run directly on the radio, streamlining setup, tuning, and mission workflows without the need for external devices.

The AX12 features HDMI input and output, allowing it to display video from compatible digital FPV systems directly on its built-in screen while also mirroring the interface to an external monitor or projector for training, review, or team use. With support for the DJI Fly app via a simple USB-C OTG connection, the AX12 can show live video from DJI goggles on its HD display, enabling passengers, spotters, or instructors to view the flight in real time. The mirrored output also serves as a convenient backup screen or can be used for recording and live streaming the flight feed.
